We spoke to Toria of @toria_talks_beauty(www.toriatalksbeauty.co.uk), where she shares her passion and reviews of skincare and makeup. She is a 33-year-old beauty addict from the UK.

Scroll through her feed and you'll instantly know that tranquility and calm is her vibe, blue is her colour and skincare is her thing.

What inspired your passion for skincare, makeup and beauty?

I suffer from acne and started to get into makeup to try and cover it up. That then led on to me looking into skincare and how it could help my skin.

What are your thoughts on CBD as a skincare ingredient?

I love CBD in skincare! It's brilliant to calm skin.

What are some of the top misconceptions you hear about when it comes to skincare products/practices?

The main misconception I hear is that you don't need to wear SPF every day. Even if it's cloudy & dull weather, you should still wear SPF.

If you had one message to share to a large audience that would practice what you preach, what would that message be?

Wear SPF every single day. Plus always double cleanse at the end of the day to fully remove the SPF.

What other ingredients have you fallen in love with?

My favourite ingredients are Salicylic Acid, Retinol & Niacinamide as they all really help keep my acne under control.

How long does it take for you to use a product to see the benefits of it?

I usually test a product for 4-6 weeks to give it a chance to work. It depends on the product though as some give instant results, like masks and exfoliants.

Walk us through your AM/PM skincare routine.

    For my AM routine:

    •  I'll usually start with a gentle cleanser like A.Florence Skincare Hydrating Gel Cleanser, then a BHA toner like Omorovicza Silver Skin Tonic.
    • I then use a brightening eye cream like Murad Vita-C Eyes Dark Circle Corrector. I then like to use a Vitamin C serum like Skinceuticles Phloretin CF followed by a Hyaluronic acid serum like Medik8 Hydr8 B5 Intense.
    • I'll then use a lightweight moisturiser like Allies of Skin Peptides & Antioxidants Firming Daily Treatment. Lastly, the most important step SPF! My favourite is Evy Technology Daily UV Face Mousse SPF 50.

     For my PM routine:

    • I'll always double cleanse to fully remove my makeup & SPF. I usually start with a cleansing balm or oil like Deviant Skincare Cleansing Concentrate or their Enzymatic Cleansing Oil.
    • I'll then follow up with gel or cream cleanser like Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cleanser.
    • I use masks a few days a week as an added treat. Favourites include Fresh Black Tea Firming mask or Luneia Radiance Ritual.
    • On the days I don't mask, I use Talika Genius Light LED mask & Nuface Trinity microcurrent device.
    • Next I'll use a hydrating toner like AHC Aqualuronic. For my eye cream I'm currently enjoying GA-DE Hydra Sublime.
    • I use an exfoliating serum & Retinol serum on alternate days. I love Jan Marini Bioclear Lotion & Paula's Choice Clinical 1% Retinol.
    • I'll then follow up with a Niacinamide serum like Alpha H Vitamin B with Copper Peptides.
    • I then apply a rich moisturiser like Medik8 Advanced Night Restore. I'll occasionally use an overnight mask like Murad Night Fix Enzyme Treatment to finish.

How has your experience been diagnosing yourself with endometriosis?

Unfortunately like most people that have endometriosis, getting a diagnosis was a long & drawn out process. I had symptoms for over 10 years before I eventually had a diagnostic laparoscopy which confirmed what my doctor and I suspected.

What are some ways you alleviate the symptoms and pain associated with it?

Aside from prescription painkillers, CBD is the main thing to help keep my pain at a manageable level. It makes a huge difference for me! Aside from that, a regularly use a hot water bottle or have a hot bath to help ease pain.
